Over 50 elementary school, middle school, and high school students from all San Pedro Schools are honored each May as Future Leaders of San Pedro. Students recognized for this award are selected by their teachers and principals based on outstanding achievements in academics, school service, community service, citizenship, and arts/athletics. The annual Future Leaders banquet and awards ceremony, which is held at the Ports O' Call Restaurant, is attended by approximately 400 recipients, parents, relatives, teachers, school administrators, and community leaders.
